CSY Designs Arnold Yates' Web Site
CSY Designs' Portfolio

This personal site was designed for one of the original members of the MyWeb20 community.  A site style was created to reflect the user’s personality, and is applied to the site’s integrated applications, pages, and scripts. The site incorporates several unique features in addition to the standard community account application, and scripts installation. Like all community sites it has a guest book, uses it’s own installation of Gallery, uses the Tell A Friend script, and has a visitor counter built into the main page.  In addition to the standard features, this site has a newsletter section, a links section, and a protected access administration area providing the user access to his webmail interface, and an on line editor to add, or update site content.

The Main Page

The site style uses simple, classic graphic elements in keeping with this user’s age, and upbringing.  Navigation is provided by a combination of text links, and a vertical navigation bar.  The navigation bar includes a button to access the log in portal for access to the user administration area.

The page features the current date displayed just under the banner, and a realtime local weather feed. Headers are used to separate the page areas, and text links are grouped by destination into bulleted lists.

The Newsletter

A section of the site was created to display an annual newsletter written by the user. The publish date is incorporated into the page between the publication banner, and the navigation bar.  The newsletter pages can be created using the on line editor, or in Net Objects Fusion.  A Fusion style and site template were built for this customer, and then provided to him along with detailed instructions for installing them into the application, using them to create, or edit content, and publishing with the application.

The Feedback Form

The site contains a built in form for visitors to provide feedback to the user.  This form was designed to be simple for visitors to use, and gives them the option of requesting further contact.  Submitting the form without filling required fields generates a custom error page.
